Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
We do not participate with insurance. The patient is responsible for payment at the time of service.
What are your fees?
Initial Visit: $400
Follow-Up Visits: $200
Payment can me made in the form of cash, check or credit/debit card.
Can I Use My HSA or FSA Account for Payment?
Yes. Please check with your HR department to be sure.
What does the initial visit include?
The initial visit begins with a consultation and physical evaluation. The findings would be discussed with the patient and a treatment plan would be created. If we felt it was safe and appropriate to treat and if the patient agreed, treatment would be performed as well. Treatment would be a combination of functional soft tissue therapy, chiropractic and acupuncture along with advice on what to do at home.
Do you ever not treat on the first visit?
Treatment is usually performed on the initial visit with two rare exceptions.
First is if any “red flags’ were discovered during the consultation and evaluation and the doctor felt it was not appropriate to treat without further evaluation. The patient would most likely be referred to their physician or to the Emergency Room, depending on the situation.
Second would be if the either the patient or doctor felt it was not a good fit and that the patient would best be served elsewhere.
How long are the visits?
The initial visit is approximately an hour and a half.
Follow-up visits are approximately an hour.
Do I have to be injured or in pain to be a patient?
No! We encourage a proactive approach to health and maintenance care. When symptoms present themselves it usually means there is already tissue damage, irritation or dysfunction that has been building up for some time. The earlier dysfunction can be found and addressed, the better.
Do I qualify to be a patient?
This approach is for anyone looking to optimize their heath, find relief from pain and correct dysfunction naturally. The only time somebody is not qualified is if their condition requires urgent medical attention or if their health status is such that treatment would not be appropriate.
Should I bring anything with me to the initial visit?
We ask that you bring any medication, supplements, relevant medical records, lab/imaging test results with you. Also, please bring loose shorts and a tank top or sports bra for examination.
Are acupuncture needles sterile?
Yes, acupuncture needles are sterile, only used once and then discarded.
What if I don’t want to have my spine adjusted?
While it is safe to have your spine adjusted in most situations, there are some cases when it would not be appropriate. Even if it is appropriate and safe based on your history and exam, if you are not comfortable with adjustments, we will not include them in your treatment plan. We use many different modalities and techniques, so we will develop a plan that you are not only comfortable with, but that will help you achieve your goals.
What is your cancellation policy?
We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel or change an appointment, please do so at least 24 hours in advance otherwise you will be financially responsible for the full visit fee.
